After Acquisition Completed, Microsoft Will Bring More Games To Mobile

JAKARTA - Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has confirmed that the company is preparing to launch Xbox stores on iOS and Android, no later than next year.

Speaking recently in a financial report published on Monday, March 20, Spencer noted that the plan hinges on regulators approving Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard of IDR 986 trillion.

"We want to be in a position to offer our Xbox and content and our third-party partners on all screens where someone wants to play," Spencer told Engadget.

"Today, we can't do it on mobile devices, but we want to build towards a world that we think will be present where the device is opened."

On the other hand, it appears that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision could not be completed quickly, seeing the European Commission decide to extend the deadline for its decision, from April 25 to May 22 after Microsoft submitted a solution in an attempt to get its approval.

Despite this, Microsoft has also taken further steps to prove its commitment to continuing to issue Call of Duty to the latest generation of consoles and platforms, by establishing several partnerships including NVIDIA and Nintendp.

"We have fulfilled our promise to bring Call of Duty to more gamers in more devices by signing an agreement to take the game to Nintendo consoles and cloud game streaming services offered by Nvidia, Boosteroids, and Ubitus," a Microsoft spokesperson said.
