John Kei's Prime Session Held Through Teleconference This Morning
JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the West Jakarta District Court (PN) held an inaugural hearing by teleconference with the agenda of indictment against the perpetrator of assault and murder, John Kei.
The plan is for the first trial of the alleged destruction of Nus Kei's house in Tangerang and the demolition to be held starting at 10.00 WIB, Wednesday, January 13.
"It is scheduled for 10.00 WIB by teleconference," said West Jakarta District Court spokesman Eko Aryanto in Jakarta as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 12.
The Panel of Judges appointed to hold the trial of the John Kei case, namely Yulisar, Eko Aryanto, and Kamaluddin.
Eko said the case file on behalf of John Kei had been transferred to the West Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office to the West Jakarta District Court on December 30, 2020.
Previously, Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasipenkum) of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Nirwan Nawawi, said that the West Jakarta District Attorney had submitted John Kei's case file to the West Jakarta District Court for further legal proceedings.
The John Kei case was delegated by the West Jakarta Prosecutor's Office through the DKI High Prosecutor's Office to court because the suspects committed a crime in the Duri Kosambi area, West Jakarta.
The articles accused against John Kei and other suspects, namely Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder, and Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning beatings causing the victim to die and possession of firearms and sharp weapons.
Joint officers from the Polda Metro Jaya, the Tangerang Kota Metro Police, and the West Jakarta Metro Police arrested John Kei and 38 of his men in Bekasi, West Java, for being involved in the destruction of Nus Kei's house in Tangerang and the beating that resulted in the death of a man with the initials ER.
