KPK Reveals Dito Mahendra Has A Special Room Containing 15 Guns At His Home
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that singer Nindy Ayunda's lover, Dito Mahendra, had a special room containing 15 firearms (senpi). This finding was obtained during a search related to the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Nurhadi. "I happened to be there too, it was true that in a room it was found that there were 15 firearms complete with ammunition, firearms, live bullets," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Monday, March 20. Asep said that his subordinates did not come to look for firearms. The KPK was looking for evidence allegedly related to Nurhadi's money laundering attempt. However, the existence of the firearms attracted the attention of KPK investigators. Thus, the anti-corruption commission immediately contacted the Police Intelligence Agency (BIK) and the South Jakarta Police. "Our research team contacted related to licensing issues, because of the weapon, possession, possession of weapons, intelligence agency," said Asep. "Then it will be seen that the permit still applies, of course, there is still a rule itself," he continued. Dito Mahendra has already been questioned by KPK investigators on Monday, February 6. At that time, he was asked about the sale and the money flow transactions that were suspected to have come from bribery handling cases received by Nurhadi. Most recently, investigators also searched Dito's residence on Monday, March 13. As a result, investigators found 15 firearms ranging from pistols to long barrels. The firearms consisted of five pistols of block type, one SNW pistol, one micro gimber pistol, as well as eight long-barreled firearms. Currently, the KPK continues to coordinate with the Police on the findings. KPK investigators will also investigate whether there is a connection between the purchase of these weapons with the case that ensnared Nurhadi.
For information, the alleged money laundering committed by Nurhadi is not the first case handled by the KPK. The former Secretary of the Supreme Court has been sentenced to be found guilty in a bribery and gratuity case with his son-in-law, Rezky Herbiyono. Both of them are currently serving a sentence at the Sukamiskin Correctional Institution (Lapas) for six years. They are required to pay a fine of Rp. 500 million, provided that if they are not paid, they will be replaced with imprisonment for three months.
