Is It True That Kimchi Can Reduce The Risk Of Skin Disease?
JAKARTA - Regular consumption can reduce the risk of contracting atopic dermatitis (AD), eczema's skin disease, by 32 percent, said a study conducted by South Korean scientists.
This finding was revealed by researcher Park Yoo-kyoung, a professor of medical nutrition at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, and a 2010-2012 national nutritional health study involving 7,221 participants in South Korea.
RICH is a traditional South Korean spicy dish fermented and made from bailouts, cucumbers or radishes. This food is served with almost all kinds of food.
In the study published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition Asia Pacific, the researchers revealed, consumption of 85-158 grams or one to three servings per day decreased the risk of being exposed to AD 32 percent.
Researchers say that these findings consider gender, age, smoking or drinking and other external conditions that can affect the outcome.
"There are people who are worried about the content of high salt levels in fire," Yoo-kyoung said as reported by the Yonhap News Agency.
