Lemkapi Values The Quick Action Of Densus 88 Arresting Terrorism Perpetrators Causes A Sense Of Community Security

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) assessed that the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 had worked quickly by arresting five terrorism suspects in Central Sulawesi (Sulteng).

According to this police observer, hunting and detecting the activities of terrorists is not an easy job.

"It takes a long time and a high patience to be able to monitor this network activity. As soon as you see the movement, Densus 88 Anti-terror is moving," said Lemkapi Executive Director Edi Hasibuan in a written statement, Monday, March 20, quoted by Antara.

He said fast and precise law enforcement actions would make people feel comfortable.

Previously, the Head of the Public Information Sub Division of the Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Regional Police, Kompol Sugeng Lestadi, in Palu, Friday, March 17, said that Densus 88 assisted by the Central Sulawesi Regional Police searched houses in Tinggede Village, Sigi Regency and Silae Village, Palu City, Thursday, March 16, related to the arrests of the suspects.

He said the five people arrested had something to do with the terrorism of the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) group. They are AF (41), KP (52), MA (42), ZA (42) a resident of Palu City and RA (42) a resident of Sigi Regency.

Densus 88 confiscated a number of evidences at two search locations including 13 books, three bundles of foundation documents, one machete, five throwing knives, one folding knife, three telescopes, nine arrows and one air rifle.
