Former Yogyakarta Walkot Will Serve 7 Years In Prison In Sukamiskin Prison
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) executed former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti to Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung. There he will undergo a decision signed by the Corruption Court at the Yogyakarta District Court (PN) regarding the bribery case for the issuance of a building permit (IMB).
"The convict Haryadi Suyuti is serving a prison sentence of seven years minus the period of detention that has been served," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Monday, December 20.
Ali revealed that Hariyadi had to pay a fine of Rp. 300 million and a replacement money of Rp. 165 million. This obligation must be completed immediately after the decision has permanent legal force.
Furthermore, the KPK also executed Haryadi's personal secretary, Triyanto Budi Yuwono, to Sukamiskin Prison. He will serve his sentence for being found guilty in this bribery case.
"The convict Triyanto Budi Yuwono is serving a prison sentence of four years minus the period of detention that has been served plus a fine of Rp. 200 million," Ali explained.
Previously, Haryadi was sentenced to seven years in prison for accepting bribes related to the issuance of a building permit (IMB) for the Royal Kedhaton Apartment and Hotel Iki Wae or Aston Malioboro. This money was received in 2019-2022.
He also had to pay a fine of Rp. 300 million and a replacement money of Rp. 165 million. In addition, Haryadi may not immediately hold public office after being released for five years.
Haryadi's verdict is heavier than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He was previously sentenced to 6.5 years in prison.
