Mutilation Suspect In Red Suitcase, Charged With Premeditated Murder

BOGOR Regency - Bogor Resort Police, West Java, revealed a case of finding pieces of a human body or corpse in a red suitcase in Singasi bangsa Village, Tenjo, Bogor, on Wednesday, March 15.

"Starting from the discovery of a red suitcase which at that time had gone viral with the contents inside a piece of human corpse without a head and without legs," said Bogor Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin when releasing the disclosure of a criminal case at the Bogor Police Headquarters, Cibinong, Saturday.

According to him, a day after the discovery of the pieces of the corpse, the Mobile Investigation Team (Resmob) and the Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) managed to identify the pieces of the victim's body, a man with the initials R and a male suspect with the initials DA.

"After being identified, the Resmob team pursued the perpetrator. On Friday (17/3), the perpetrator was arrested in Yogyakarta after our team pursued him from the Tangerang area," he explained.

The police chief explained the provisional suspicion that the motive for the murder was carried out by the DA for being involved in an argument with the victim.

Suspects DA and R, who have lived together for about four months in an apartment called Cisauk, Tangerang Regency, were involved in an argument until later DA killed R using a sharp weapon in the form of a kitchen knife.

"The suspect fought because he was asked to do a hand job by the victim. There was an argument, however, we are still investigating," said Iman.

Then, added Iman, suspect DA made an attempt to mutilate using a gerinda. DA separates R's body by cutting off the head and legs.

"Due to fear of removing his body, the suspect then used a outlet to cut his leg with his head," said Iman.

Then, the suspect DA threw pieces of the victim's head and legs and a gerinda device into the Cimanceuri River, Tangerang. Meanwhile, the victim's body parts were put in a red suitcase and dumped in Singasi bangsa Village, Tenjo District, Bogor.

"We also received reports from toll officials, for clothes and bed sheets and other wrapping tools were dumped on the Cikupa toll road and have been found. Currently, it has been secured by the Tenjo Police and is on its way to the Bogor Resort Police," said the Police Chief.

Now, suspect DA is charged with premeditated murder and murder, namely Articles 338 and 340 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a maximum sentence of life imprisonment and or death penalty.
