During PPKM, All Ponpes In Malang Are Prohibited From Accepting Guardians Of Santri

JAKARTA - The Malang Regency Government has asked all Islamic boarding schools (Ponpes) in Malang Regency, East Java, not to receive visits from the santri guardians during the implementation of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

Malang Regent M Sanusi said that his party continues to disseminate information to all people in Malang Regency regarding the implementation of PPKM on January 11-25, 2021.

"As long as PPKM is in progress, Islamic boarding schools are prohibited from receiving visits from santri guardians. Islamic boarding schools are given socialization to support the implementation of PPKM," said Sanusi, in a written statement reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 12.

On the first day of implementing PPKM in the Malang Regency area, Sanusi and the entire Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) conducted joint patrols, to ensure that the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 1 of 2021 was running well.

On that occasion, Sanusi also conducted socialization related to the implementation of PPKM in three Islamic boarding schools, namely the Shirothul Fuqoha 'Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School, Al-Rifa'i 2 Gondanglegi Islamic Boarding School, and Al Munawarriyah Islamic Boarding School Sudimoro Bululawang.

"Joint patrols are carried out to ensure the implementation of PPKM in each sub-district is running," said Sanusi.

Sanusi added, on the first day of PPKM implementation, the level of compliance of Malang Regency residents was considered quite good. Business places in the area stopped their business at 19.00 WIB.

The caretaker of the Al-Rifa'i 2 Islamic Boarding School, KH. Muflih Zamachsyari, added that the Islamic boarding school he takes care of will implement the policy, in an effort to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

"The visit ban is in effect since the end of January," said KH Muflih.

Apart from the Al-Rifa'i Islamic Boarding School, the Raudlatul Ulum 1 Islamic Boarding School, Ganjaran Village, Gondanglegi District also applies the same thing. The prohibition is made in writing by means of a circular and sent to each of the santri guardians.

"Remittances in the form of money must be made by transfer, and there is no direct interaction between the santri guardian and the santri," one excerpt from the circular letter.

In the implementation of PPKM in Malang Regency, health protocol tightening is carried out in offices by implementing 75 percent of workers doing Work From Home (WFH), and the rest is Work From Office (WFO).

In addition, the opening hours for shops, stalls or restaurants are limited to 19.00 WIB, while shops selling essential staple goods can operate 100 percent.

Then, worship activities are limited to a maximum of 50 percent of the capacity of the place, and the reinforcement of the COVID-19 control posts in each village. Overall in Malang Regency, there were 1,656 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Of the total, 1,522 people were reported to have recovered, 92 people were declared dead, and the rest were under treatment.
