Inspired By Axl Rose And Phil Collins, Ozzy Osbourne Will Continue The Tour By Sitting On The Seat
JAKARTA - Ozzy Osbourne promised to return to the live stage, although he had to appear while sitting on a chair.
The report comes a month after Ozzy issued a statement that she had to cancel her tour due to spinal cord injuries she suffered four years ago and other health problems.
Ozzy is reportedly inspired by Guns N 'Roses vocalist Axl Rose, who toured with injured legs at his desk, and Phil Collins, who finished Genesis' last tour while sitting on a chair.
"Ozzy refused to give up on her hopes of getting on stage despite her statement last month," an Ozzy friend told The Sun, quoted Friday.
"He stated: 'I'm going back on stage.' He still has problems with his balance and can't stand without help for a long time above his feet. It frustrated him to do a full 90-minute show, which was filled with the stagework and interactive movement of the audience, couldn't be done.
"But he's considering performing a show on his desk, like Axl did in 2016 with GN'R. He was very impressed with the action. And he felt Phil (Coordinary) showed that the audience was really in tune with you.
"Ozzy worries she may not be able to sit still, which could be a challenge. But there's talk of bringing some special effects and even a stage engine to move the chair. She feels there's a lot of options available, but Oz doesn't rule out concert points in Vegas or LA"
