DKI Prosecutor's Office's Efforts To Offer Restorative Justice In Mario Dandy's Case
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) offers restorative justice (RJ) related to the case of persecution by Mario Dandy Satriyo (20) against David Ozora (17). However, RJ's decision, said Reda, was handed over to David's family. If not allowed, the case will continue.
"We are in the process. We are still offering whether this will be forgiven in a juridical manner so that the process can be carried out. If the victim doesn't want it to continue, "said Head of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati), Reda Manthovanani, to reporters at Mayapada Hospital, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday night, March 16.
Reda revealed that the case of violence by Mario Dandy Cs was a serious persecution. He said this after seeing the condition of David Ozora at Mayapada Hospital, Kuningan, South Jakarta.
"Alhamdulillah, his condition has improved. The respiratory saturation is good, the tension is normal. But still it is severe persecution," he said.
Furthermore, Reda also said that by looking at David's condition, it would be considered by the prosecutor in drafting the charges.
"Obviously it ( David's condition) is a consideration, because in the article of persecution there is a level, there is severe persecution, light persecution. Now we have seen this firsthand, this is persecution not only based on the doctor's statement, we see it directly," said Reda.
