Dell Launches Two New Solutions To Protect Companies From Cyber Threats
JAKARTA - Dell Technologies announced new security solutions and services to help protect companies from threats, respond to attacks and secure devices, systems and clouds called Dell SafeGuard and Response with CrowdStricte and Dell Secured Component Verification on Cloud.
Based on data from the April 2022 Dell Breakthrough study, 72 percent of business leaders and Information Technology (IT) professionals believe the changes that continue to occur in the world of work will expose their companies to greater risks.
In addition, the scattered IT environment opens new loopholes for cybercriminals and requires companies to transform approaches related to their data security and recovery and systems.
"Security has become part of Dell's DNA and is inseparable from our design, infrastructure, supply chain, and products. Our growing service portfolio and security solutions will help the company address the toughest security challenges and all complexity to ensure all their networks, devices and systems remain secure," said Matt Baker, senior vice president, Corporate Strategy, Dell Technologies in a written statement, quoted by VOI Friday, March 17.
According to Chuah Yeow Chong, vice president, Services Sales, APJ, Dell Technologies, in the work-from-anywhere era and everything is interconnected, security is an absolute component of the company's business plans in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
"Last year alone, 48 percent of the disruptions experienced by various companies in APJ were caused by cyber attacks. With this latest security service and solution, our customers now have more service options and security solutions to protect their reputation, business, data and intellectual property," Chong said.
With the addition of the Falcon CrowdStrice solution to the SafeGuard and Response portfolio, Dell now offers customers more choice of cybersecurity software.
With cloud native CrowdStrice platforms, companies can access additional sets of defenses that accelerate investigations and threat responses to protect the most important entertainment risk exposure areas: endpoints and cloud, identity and data workloads.
More than that, Dell is also rolling out a cloud version of its Secured Component Verification solution, where the solution will provide additional security guarantees for enterprise customers to ensure that PCs received are in accordance with their orders, and manufactured in factories. This cloud-based Dell solution helps reduce the risk of damage to Dell's commercial PC products.
Dell will issue digital certificates documenting key PC components in factories stored in secure cloud environments. After delivery, the IT team can match PCs received with related certificates to verify the integrity of the components in them. Availability
SafeGuard Dell and Response with CrowdStrike are now available globally. Meanwhile, Dell Secured Component Verification on Cloud for Dell commercial PC products will be available globally in May.
