Chairman Of The DPRD Asks The Provincial Government To Expand To Build Flats Above The Market
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to increase the construction of flats as well as markets on the basic floor.
According to Prasetyo, flats with floors above the market will attract people to live there. Moreover, the DKI Provincial Government does not need to procure two new lands for the construction of each flat and market.
This was conveyed by Prasetyo in the Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the 2024 South Jakarta Regional Government Work Plan.
"Building is a flat. The market is below, the flats are above. People there will not run, they will definitely go up. Instead of buying the money twice, the loss is 2 times, the budget is disbursement is big too," said Prasetyo, Thursday, March 16.
Prasetyo suggested that the use of flats and markets in the same building could use Perumda Pasar Jaya's assets. Thus, the DKI Provincial Government does not need to spend a budget to buy new land.
"Pasar Jaya is a large asset. Why do we buy land all the time? We have land, we just need to build it up. We function it into a modern market like in BSD," said Prasetyo.
This, said Prasetyo, is also in line with the wishes of the DKI DPRD which no longer wants the DKI Provincial Government to buy land using the APBD for the 2024 fiscal year.
This is because every year the allocation of land acquisition budgets is always carried out and not all land is used.
"Now the Governor and I agree (the DKI Provincial Government) has never bought land again because our land is already large. We function it properly," he said.
Responding to this, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono will follow up on Prasetyo's proposal to build flats above the market which is also managed by BUMD owned by the DKI Provincial Government.
"It is still a budget for 2024. So we need to plan first. Later we will see the right one, it is appropriate to build it," said Heru.
