Indonesia-Singapore Sign Cooperation In Development Of Habitable Cities At IKN
JAKARTA - The Indonesian government through the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Center for Livable Cities (CLC) of the Ministry of National Development of Singapore, today. The signing was carried out by the Head of OIKN Bambang Susantono and Singaporean National Development Minister Desmond Lee.
It aims to share knowledge experiences about the development of habitable and sustainable cities in the world.
This strategic collaboration includes steps to strengthen the collaboration of knowledge sharing and capacity development by CLC in realizing a habitable city in the archipelago.
"From the start, IKN was designed to become not only green and habitable cities, but also cities that are loved by its citizens, and for this reason, the IKN Authority continues to partner with habitable cities in the world, such as Singapore," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono in a written statement, Thursday, March 16.
In this memorandum of understanding, the scope of cooperation that will be carried out includes the development of smart cities and green cities, integrated transportation and infrastructure development, resilient and inclusive community development, planning for high-density urban areas, hot and humidity management, as well as mitigation and adaptation measures in urban development planning.
"This MoU is the first memorandum between OIKN and other countries' ministries (G-to-G)," concluded Bambang.
On that occasion, a statement of interest (letters of intent) was also announced from 20 companies in Singapore to invest in IKN.
The companies include Quantum Power, BG&E Group, Aries Investment Management, Ormand Capital, Singtel, JOE Green, SPIC, RE Sustainability, Woodlands Transport, and Mustafa.
In addition, there are also Sembcorp Energy Indonesia, ST Engineering, Capital World Limited, CICK San Group, Scantek, YCH, SBS Transit, King Wan Corp, HMI Group, LHN Group, Avon Group, Bauer, and Wenergy Global.
