At Commission VII, Pertamina Boss Clarifies About The Letter Not Demanding The Red Plate
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati opened her voice about the news that stated that Pertamina required the families of the victims of the Plumpang explosion to sign a letter so as not to sue Pertamina when handing over compensation money.
Previously, a member of Commission VII DPR RI asked this question, Mulyanto.
"We want to clarify whether it is true when providing compensation for Pertamina and also submitting documents that must be signed by the community so that they do not sue Pertamina?" asked Mulyanto at the Hearing Meeting, Thursday, March 16.
Nicke explained that the letter in question is that compensation has been given to the heirs and prevents other heirs from demanding the same thing to Pertamina.
"So what is meant by this is that we give it to the heirs. In various incidents - then there are others who claim to be heirs demanding against Pertamina. That means Pertamina is given to the heirs and no other heirs are demanding. That's what it means," explained Nicke.
Nicke further explained that until March 16, 2023, Pertamina had disbursed funds amounting to Rp1.7 billion to be given in the form of assistance to the families of the victims of the fire incident.
The source of this aid fund is divided into two. The amount of Rp1.26 billion comes from Pertamina Group. Meanwhile, the remaining Rp451 million from other SOEs.
"So this is what we give to the residents. This is what we have given," he said.
Previously, the Head of RW 01, Rawa Badak Selatan Village, Bambang Setiono admitted that if there were residents, they would be given money so as not to demand compensation from Pertamina.
"Yes, yesterday someone complained to me about it," said Setiono when confirmed, Tuesday, March 7.
Setiono explained that the incident began when the families of the victims of the Pertamina Plumpang Depot fire buried their families at the funeral. Suddenly someone gave Rp10 million with the condition that they signed on stamps.
