Indonesia And Singapore Agree To Develop Young Talenta Technology
JAKARTA - Indonesia and Singapore have agreed to cooperate in the development of young technological talents that allow the two countries to exchange experiences in the industry.

We signed a memorandum of understanding about technology experts' programs,... which allows young technology professionals from two countries to undergo job exchange and gain experience from the technology industry with each other," said Singaporean Prime Minister (PM) Lee Hsien Loong in a joint press conference with Indonesian President Joko Widodo after Leaders Retreat, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 16.
PM Hsien Loong said cooperation in the development of technological Human Resources (HR) will strengthen the collaboration of countries in ASEAN in the field of information technology.
"Our technology cooperation will strengthen ASEAN collaboration in this developing sector and this includes working towards a digital economic framework agreement under Indonesia's leadership in ASEAN," he said in a broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat Youtube of the Republic of Indonesia.
In 2023 Indonesia will hold ASEAN Chairship and will host the ASEAN Summit.
President Jokowi on the same occasion said that he welcomed the cooperation in developing human resources in the field of technology and informatics, as well as investment in data center development.
"Cooperation in the digital field, including investment and data centers, and cooperation in human resource development in the field of information technology, and currently there are Apple Academy and IBM Academy in Batam," said Jokowi.
In the Leaders' Retreat, President Jokowi and PM Lee Hsien Loong also discussed the high interest of Singaporean investors to work together to build the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan, investment agreements in the new and renewable energy sector, cooperation in the trade in livestock products.
Furthermore, President Jokowi and PM Lee Hsien Loong also discussed strengthening basic health services and health technology, as well as investing in developing hospitals in Indonesia.
