10 Days Cut Off, Road Access On Serasan Island Can Be Passed By Pascalongsor Vehicles
NATUNA - Ten days had been cut off, the axis road connecting Serasan and East Serasan District began to be passed by vehicles after cleaning up landslide materials by the Longsor Serasan Disaster Response Task Force and East Serasan, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri).
"Tcrossing using two-wheeled vehicles can be done," said Natuna Regent Wan Siswandi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 16.
Previously, the road connecting the two sub-districts was cut off in the Pangkalan Village area due to landslides and was closed for 10 days since the landslide occurred in the area.
"In addition to roads, electricity has also returned to serve the residents of East Serasan since yesterday afternoon," said Regent Wan Siswandi.
However, road shoulder cleaning using excavators continues to be carried out so that access to and from the sub-district center can be passed by four-wheeled vehicles or cars.
Meanwhile, the Natuna Police Chief, AKBP Nanang Budi Santosa, together with the Natuna Regent, Dandim 0318, and Kakansar, while directly reviewing the implementation of road cleaning of landslide material piles, said drivers who want to pass by to be careful because the road is not completely clean of mud material.
Apart from being slippery, piles of material located on the left and right of the road still have the potential to collapse when it rains.
Furthermore, he also said that to this day the Joint SAR Team was still searching for victims who had not been found.
"The joint team is still continuing, until today the 50 bodies were found and 4 have not been found, the search for 4 victims is still ongoing," said the Nanang Police Chief.
