Ong Seong Wu Departs Military Mandatory April 17
JAKARTA - Singer and actor Ong Seong Wu will carry out his military service this year. Fantagio as the agency announced that the former Wanna One member will depart on April 17.
"When we thank WELO (the fans of Ong Seong Wu) who sent love to our artists, we want to inform Ong Seong Wu's military schedule," Fantagio said today, Thursday, March 16.
Ong Seong Wu will start training on April 17 (Monday) at the Training Center and start his military service as an active soldier, they continued.
The agency also explained that no special events were made in the camp to avoid riots or unwanted things.
"Because acceptance ceremonies for recruitment training centers are private events that will be attended by many soldiers and their families, we ask fans not to attend," Fantagio explained.
"We ask for support and love for Ong Seong Wu who will return to good condition after completing his military service. Thank you," concluded the agency.
Ong Seong Wu was sent by his agency to participate in the second season of Produce 101 competition. Although he is an acting trainee, he has the ability to sing and dance. He won fifth place and debuted with Wanna One.
He also released his first solo album, Layers on March 25 and collaborated with Baek Ji Young for a single.
After Wanna One, Ong Seong Wu made his acting debut with the drama At Eighteen which received a positive response. In addition, he also starred in the drama More Than Friends, Share We Have a Cup of Coffee, and made his big screen debut through the film Life is Beautiful.
He will play through the drama Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon which airs this year.
