Ministry Of Social Affairs Gives Grief Compensation To The Heirs Of Sigi Terrorist Victims

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) provides condolences to the heirs of victims of murder allegedly committed by the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terrorist group in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.

Head of the Palolo Sub-District of Sigi Regency, Herman, confirmed the grief compensation from the central government through the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. The aid has been handed over by the Sigi Regency Government directly to the victim's heirs who live in Lembantongoa Village.

The head of the Social Service for the Province of Central Sulawesi, Ridwan Mumu, also attended the handover of grief compensation. Reported by Antara, the value of each compensation is IDR 15 million for the four victims killed by terrorists and received by the three heirs.

The four victims who died because they were killed by MIT terrorists, were all transmigration residents of Lewono Hamlet, Lembantongoa Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency.

Lewono Hamlet is a local transmigration location which is located about 15 kilometers from the transmigration location of Tokelemo Hamlet, which is occupied by transmigrants from Java. Some time ago, Lewono Hamlet was attacked by MIT terrorist members and killed four transmigrants.

Marthen said that apart from grief assistance in the form of cash, there were also packages of basic necessities, school supplies, agricultural equipment and kitchen utensils that had been distributed by various parties, including from various community and religious organizations.

After the terrorist attack against the transmigration settlement in Lembantongoa Village, the community is still worried about doing activities, even though in that area there are already joint officers from the TNI / Polri stationed to guard the village.
