The Last 2 Months 629 Coal Transport Trucks In Jambi Violate Traffic

JAMBI - A total of 629 traffic violations (traffic) were carried out by coal transport trucks in Jambi during January to February 2023. All of them have been given action by the police.

"In the last two months, the Jambi Regional Police Ditlantas has taken action against 629 violations committed by coal transportation because it does not follow the rules that have been set," said Director of Traffic of the Jambi Police, Police Commissioner Dhafi in Jambi, Wednesday, March 15, as reported by Antara.

A total of 629 violations include violating operating hours with 405 violations, violating administrative or complete vehicle documents with 180 violations, and 44 violations of excess tonnage.

Dhafi conveyed that his institution had officially reported to the Governor of Jambi and the Director General of Mineral and Coal Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources regarding violations committed by coal transportation before the mobilization activity of coal truck transportation was stopped some time ago.

Meanwhile, on Monday, March 13, the Jambi Regional Police Ditlantas took action against 12 units of coal transportation vehicles that violated the rules for operating hours, overload, and administrative completeness violations.

He hopes that there will be firm action from the ministry regarding the handling of coal transportation violations to realize administrative sanctions for Mining Business Permit holders (IUP) and Special Mining Business Permits (IUPK).

"The sanctions can be in the form of written warnings, temporary suspension of part or all business activities to revocation of business licenses," he said.

Dhafi ensured that the police continued to take action against coal transport trucks that committed violations, especially for those who did not follow the rules.

The East Java Regional Police have also sent a letter to the Director of Coal Concession Development at the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to immediately follow up on the sanctions for these violations.

The action taken is confirmed in accordance with the Circular Letter of the Director General of Mineral and Coal Transportation Number 6.E/MB.05/DJB.B/2022 dated April 30, 2022 concerning the Arrangement and Regulation of Coal Transportation Traffic in Jambi Province and Jambi Governor Circular Number SE 1165/DISHUB-3.1./V/2022 concerning the Regulation of Coal Transportation Traffic in Jambi Province.
