Change Dialogue Without Screenwriter Permit, Jenna Ortega Claims To Be Unprofessional
JAKARTA - Wednesday Addams actor Jenna Ortega admitted that she had changed the script for her dialogue without telling the author. This was done because Jenna thought Wednesday's words were unreasonable.
During the Armchair Expert podcast, Jenna Ortega said that many original Wednesday scripts didn't make sense to her from the character's point of view. This he realized when he first received the script he was going to play.
"I don't think I ever have to set foot in more sets in the way I have to do on Wednesday. Everything Wednesday, everything I have to play, doesn't make any sense to his character. He's in a love triangle? That doesn't make sense," said Jenna Ortega, quoted by Variety, Wednesday, March 15.
Then, said Jenna, in Wednesday's series there is a dialogue about dresses that will be worn for dances at school, where she says she really likes the dress. In fact, according to Jenna, she didn't like the dress at all.
Not only that, the 20-year-old also admitted that she was unprofessional in doing her job. Even scriptwriters immediately called Jenna to get an explanation from her who suddenly changed the script without notification.
"There were times on that set where I even became almost unprofessional in a sense where I just started changing dialogue. The script supervisor thought I was going to do something and then I had to sit down with the author, and they would be like, 'Wait, what happened to the scene?' And I have to go and explain why I can't' don't do anything specific, "he admits as written by ERA.
Despite admitting that he did an unprofessional act, it actually had a good impact on the Wednesday series. Tim Burton's series managed to get good reviews and stood behind Stranger Things 4 as the most watched Netflix English bar series.
Meanwhile, Wednesday series will continue for the second season. However, it is not yet known when the broadcast schedule for the second season of Wednesday will be.
