JCI Strengthens To 6,400, BRI, Telkom And Bank Mandiri Shares Are Attracted By Foreign Investors

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened higher in early trading today, Tuesday, January 12. At 09.03 WIB, the JCI was observed to have strengthened 0.73 percent or 487.10 points to the level of 6,428.71.

A total of 216 stocks rose, 86 stocks fell, and 159 stocks were stagnant. Seven stock sectors rose, supporting the increase in the JCI this morning.

The stock sectors with the largest increase were the consumer goods sector, which rose 1.91 percent, the financial sector rose 1.01 percent and the trade sector rose 0.77 percent.

The total volume of stock trading on the stock exchange this morning reached 2.01 billion shares. The transaction value reached IDR 1.73 trillion.

Foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp110.02 billion across all markets. The stocks with the largest net purchases by foreigners were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) Rp.67.4 billion, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) Rp.34.7 billion and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) Rp.24 billion.
