The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has Named A New Suspect In The Social Assistance Case Of The Ministry Of Social Affairs
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a suspect in the corruption case of distributing rice social assistance to Beneficiary Families (KPM) for the Family Hope Program (PKH). This criminal incident occurred in 2020-2021 at the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"KPK is starting a new investigation," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, March 15.
Ali said this investigation came from public complaints. The KPK has pocketed the identities of the suspects which caused the state to lose money.
However, the KPK will only convey the party who is a suspect during the detention process. "When we consider this investigation to have been sufficient for the collection of evidence, the identities of the parties designated as suspects, the chronology of alleged criminal acts as well as articles that we suspect will convey to the public," Ali explained.
The KPK asked the public to give time to continue conducting investigations. This effort is certain that Ali will run according to the rules of the law.
As for witnesses and related parties, they are asked to cooperate. Their information is needed to make light of this social assistance corruption case.
"KPK hopes that parties who are summoned by the investigative team to be cooperative are present and explain what it is from every detail it knows," he said.
"We make sure every stage carried out by the KPK is based on the legal corridor," concluded Ali.
