Inviting Ulama To Succeed In Vaccination, Ridwan Kamil: Please Lobby Specifically

JAKARTA - The Governor of West Java (West Java) M Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil asked the West Java Province Regional Economic Recovery and Covid-19 Policy Committee to collaborate with scholars or religious leaders to make the COVID-19 vaccination successful in West Java.

"In my direction, the ulama who participated in the first vaccines, (for example) the Chairman of the MUI, the Chairperson of the PWNU, and Muhammadiyah (West Java), represented the majority of the Muslim community in West Java. Coordination of the Policy Committee for Handling COVID-19 and Regional Economic Recovery for West Java Province at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters, Bandung City, reported by Antara, Monday, January 11.

The invitation to the cleric, he said, was solely to ensure that all parties work together to carry out very important activities as the only temporary solution to reduce COVID-19 in Indonesia.

As for the direction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, of the 1.2 million vaccines prepared by the central government in Phase I of Termin I, West Java Province received an allocation of 97,080 doses.

The plan is for the first vaccination to be carried out in seven regions, namely Bandung, Bekasi, Bogor, Depok, and Cimahi, as well as Bandung and West Bandung Districts, starting January 14, 2021 for human resources for health service facilities and 10 essential public officials.

In the West Java Provincial Government, Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum will be the first to be involved or get vaccinated. The reason is, Kang Emil himself has become a volunteer for the phase 3 clinical trial of the COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia.

Regarding the number of vaccinators or vaccine injectors, Kang Emil explained, there were 11 thousand vaccinator volunteers trained until the end of January 2021. He emphasized that his party would continue to increase the number of vaccinators to achieve the vaccination target for 6 months.

"We will increase (the number of vaccinators) because the President's target (implementation) of vaccination is less than a year. So that our economy can improve soon," said Kang Emil.

"We are targeting (vaccination) for 6 months to be completed by doubling the health center or injection point and quadrupling trained vaccinators," he said.

Regarding the development of a risk zone or level of alertness in West Java, from the data for the period January 4, 2021 to January 10, 2021, there are six districts / cities with the status of the Red Zone (High Risk).

"(Red Zone) there are Garut, Ciamis, Karawang, Bekasi districts, as well as the cities of Bekasi and Depok," said Kang Emil.

"Also with a heavy heart I say, Karawang has been (Red Zone) five weeks in a row, and we have sent a team there, hopefully it will recover quickly," he said.

Meanwhile, as of January 10, 2021, the Case Recovery Rate (CRR) in West Java was 83.81 percent and the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) was 1.25 percent. As of January 8, 2021, the Effective Reproduction (Rt) rate is 1.82.
