Risma Asks KPK To Help Ministry Of Social Affairs Avoid And Fix Problems Related To Social Assistance

JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini said he came to the KPK to follow up on recommendations related to social assistance (bansos) previously submitted to his ministry.

"We hope that we can be helped to avoid and fix, maybe there are problems that we have to solve," Risma said in a press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube account, Monday, January 11.

In the same press conference, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Nurul Ghufron, said that his party together with the Ministry of Social Affairs discussed a number of matters including so that social issues programs can be on target and not cause problems in the future.

Moreover, currently, the data used as the basis for providing social assistance is a population identification number (NIK), although not all beneficiaries have identity cards.

"We also know that it turns out that the targets who have social problems do not all have KTP or NIK. Therefore, it is necessary then to reach out to wider targets who have these social problems," said Ghufron.

In addition, data management and updating were also discussed in the meeting between Risma and the KPK. Data on social issues, said Ghufron, is dynamic data and is always moving.

This is because this data is related to changes in population status such as marriage, divorce, population displacement, and death.

Not only that, Risma also asked the KPK to help the Ministry of Social Affairs to foster integrity, especially in relation to the implementation of this social assistance.

"He submitted a request to the Corruption Eradication Commission for the integrity of these social assistance administrators, hoping to have the same empathy and dedication to the burden of social problems," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK Deputy for Prevention Pahala Nainggolan said that the meeting also discussed the recommendations given to the Ministry of Social Affairs, namely the problem of equating NIK with Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

This needs to be done because there are about 16 million people who do not have a NIK are registered with the DTKS. He even doubts the existence of people who are registered in the NIK.

"There are 16,700,000 people who do not have NIK, even though they are at the DTKS. So Mrs. Risma has approximately 97 million DTKS, actually 16 million, we are not sure if there are people or not, because there is no NIK," he said.

In addition, Pahala also suggested that the social assistance program launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs uses DTKS. The programs that are meant are the Family Hope Program, Non-Cash Food Assistance, and Health Insurance Contribution Beneficiaries.
