BNPT Admits There Is A New Party Suspected Of Being Affiliated By Terrorist Groups
JAKARTA - Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BNPT RI) Komjen Boy Rafli Amar admitted that there are new party members who are indicated to be affiliated with a terrorist network or group.
"It's affiliated. So some of those who didn't qualify were what we said there were indications," Boy told reporters at Astor Ballroom, South Jakarta, Monday, March 13.
"We have to take care of the future so that we don't form a new party, but the management of the background is intolerant, radical, terrorist groups. The management is right. Not to mention the platform, the principle of the party must certainly not be separated from the ideology of the Pancasila state," he continued
He believes that the parties that have passed the verification at this time are parties that are not affiliated with terrorist groups. When asked about the affiliated party, he refused to answer.
"Because we have received information from the start and God willing, the one who passed is clear," he said.
For information, based on the letter, the parties that passed were the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the Perindo Party, the NasDem Party, the Crescent Star Party (PBB), and the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN).
Furthermore, there are the Garda Amendment Indonesia Party, the Democratic Party, the Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), the National Awakening Party (PKB), and the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
There are also the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Golkar Party, the United Development Party (PPP), the Labor Party, and the Ummat Party.
