Gerindra Opens Prabowo-Ganjar Duet Opportunities, PKB Affirms Must Get Cak Imin's 'Restu'
JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) responded to the Gerindra Party which opened up the opportunity for a duet between its General Chair, Prabowo Subianto and the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.PKB emphasized that the discourse of the Prabowo-Ganjar duet must get a'restu' from PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin. As agreed by PKB and Gerindra in the charter of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR)."(The Prabowo-Ganjar Duet opportunity) must obtain Cak Imin's approval," said Deputy Secretary General of PKB, Syaiful Huda, when contacted, Monday, March 13.Apart from having to agree with Cak Imin, according to Huda, pairing Prabowo and Ganjar is also not easy. This is because Gerindra must negotiate with Ganjar, always PDIP cadres who have so far been predicted as presidential candidates.Moreover, the authority regarding the vice presidential candidate is in the hands of the General Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri."You have to negotiate with Ganjar. So far, Ganjar has been declared a presidential candidate. That also requires a political process, the political dynamics is also needed," said Huda.Previously, Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, stated that his party opened up opportunities for the Prabowo-Ganjar duet after an familiar moment in Kebumen, Central Java."I think it is open that Pak Ganjar wants to join Pak Prabowo with Pak Prabowo's notes as a presidential candidate.
