Task Force Finds Again COVID-19 Cases In 2 Districts Of Bangka Belitung

BANGKA - The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province noted that two of the eight sub-districts in the area found cases of COVID-19.Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force for Bangka Regency, Boy Yandra, said that the two sub-districts found were COVID-19 cases in Sungailiat District and Belinyu District, respectively.There were three cases of COVID-19 found in two sub-districts. Previously, COVID-19 cases were only found in one sub-district, namely only in Sungailiat District."Meanwhile, six sub-districts were declared to have zero cases of the corona virus, namely Bakam, West Mendo, Merawang, Pemali, Puding Besar and Riau Silip sub-districts," he explained in Sungailiat, Antara, Monday, March 13.Based on information on the development of COVID-19 in Bangka Regency for almost three years, the total cases reached 12,312 people, 11,894 people recovered and 415 residents in Bangka Regency died from coronavirus infection.Of the tens of thousands of COVID-19 cases in Bangka Regency, the highest number of cases in Sungailiat District, which is the main city, reached 5,072 cases, 4,929 people recovered and 141 died. While the lowest cases in Bakam District were 203 cases, 193 recovered from COVID-19 and 10 residents died due to exposure to the corona virus."I ask people in all sub-districts to remain aware of the potential for an increase in COVID-19 cases because apart from the discovery of additional cases, previously all sub-districts in Bangka Regency had been designated a safe area for coronavirus cases," explained Boy Yandra.It is recommended that residents who have not received vaccine services at all stages of the dose, especially dose-two booster vaccines, should immediately register at vaccine service outlets that are open every working day, for example Boy Yandra.
