Pay Attention To The UN Women's Status Commission, PNM Mekaar Globally
JAKARTA - The Prosperous Family Economic Development Program (PNM Mekaar) received international attention at the Side Event Commission on The State of Women (CSW) event or the 67th UN Women Status Commission Samping event.
Where the program was developed by PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). Together with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), PNM revealed the secret of success in managing the management of women's empowerment in the Prosperous segment in the event in New York, United States.
In his remarks at the 67th CSW session, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection I Gusti Bintang Ayu Darmawati highly appreciated PNM's strategic contribution in continuously increasing the role of women in the economic sector.

The 67th Session of Commission On The State of Women was opened by the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia which was attended by 75 participants from various countries.
Apart from the Minister of PPPA, the Minister of State for Social and Family Development of the Republic of Singapore Sun Xueling, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia, Senutha Ratthianan, Vice President of the Singapore Women's Organization Noorfarahin Ahmad and Director of Operations of PNM Sunar Basuki.
The speakers agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation either through the G2G or B2G platform, so that good practices in the country can improve and develop strategies for implementing women's empowerment and equality.
PNM Operations Director Sunar Basuki in his presentation said that each country has a distinctive strategy that is adjusted to demographic, economic, geographical and social political conditions.
Social engineering is a key factor in Mekaar's program, he said.
As of February 28, 2023, PNM has distributed Rp12.06 trillion in financing to PNM Mekaar customers totaling 14,250,921 million customers. Currently, PNM has 3,725 PNM Mekaar service offices and 706 ULaMM PNM service offices throughout Indonesia serving UMK in 34 provinces, 513 districts/cities, and 6,657 sub-districts.
