Do MoU, Indosat And ZTE Will Present 5G Network Access Innovation

JAKARTA - During Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and ZTE Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation to deliver transportation and access network innovations.

Based on the contents of the MoU, the two companies will explore further the construction of the next generation 5G network and accelerate the transformation of intelligent fiber networks, to offer an abundant digital service experience for more than 100 million IOH subscribers in Indonesia.

"We at IOH are inspired by the philosophy of Indonesia, Gotong Royong, which means inviting various parties to achieve bigger goals. IOH and ZTE have the same vision to continue to improve customer experience," said Indosat Chief Technology Officer Ooredoo Hutchison, Desmond Cheung in his official statement.

In line with IOH's main strategy, Desmond said that with this signing, the company wants to explore more of their expertise to provide world-class digital experiences for all IOH customers.

With this collaboration, ZTE will join IOH to share its vision and carry out 5G-related activities with the aim of building commercial collaboration in transportation network innovation and access.

The two companies will also conduct research and in-depth cooperation on wireless smart automation and fixed wireless access to provide smooth network connectivity and reach to Indonesian users, as well as high-quality network service experience.

In the future, with end-to-end technology innovation and accumulation based on 5G practice and exploration, ZTE will continue comprehensive and deep strategic cooperation with IOH to help build a new generation of smart and reliable 5G transport network in Indonesia.
