Alert, 2.5 Meters High Wave Threatens North Kalimantan Waters
Fishermen and sea transportation service players are aware of high waves reaching 2.5 meters in North Kalimantan waters.
"Stay alert because of changes in sea wave heights from 1.25 meters to 2.5 meters," said Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecaster Muhammad Hermansyah in Tanjung Selor, quoting Antara, Sunday, March 12.
The height of the waves in the waters closest to North Kalimantan, namely the waters of West Sulawesi, is also predicted to reach 1.25 meters to 2.5 meters.
The wind direction blows from Northwest to Northeast at a speed of three to 20 knots in the waters of North Kalimantan. While in the waters of West Sulawesi with a speed of six to 15 knots.
