East Java Regional Police Arrests Student Falsifying Antigen Test Certificate
SURABAYA - Imam Baihaqi, 24, a student from Jember Regency, East Java, was arrested by the East Java Regional Police Ditreskrimsus Cyber Team. The young man from Krajan III Hamlet, Jombang Subdistrict, Jombang District, Jember Regency, is a suspect in data manipulation and falsification of health certificates resulting from rapid tests and antigens.
"This suspect misused a fake health certificate, without conducting a medical examination first," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, in Surabaya, Monday, January 11, 2021.
According to Gatot, the suspect carried out his operation in the past month, to be precise during the simultaneous regional elections in December 2020. said Gatot, at that time the suspect was a member of the district supervisory committee (Panwascam).
"At that time, we were obliged to show the results of the rapid tests, and from there there were 24 people with the results of the rapid reactive tests. Then the suspect produced the results of the rapid tests called the Nurus Syifa Clinic, with a price of Rp400 thousand per sheet," said Gatot.
After the Pilkada, continued Gatot, the suspect then carried out his operation through posts on social media (medsos) Facebook since December 25, 2020. From the results of these posts, there were about 44 people who ordered, and the suspect got a profit of Rp1.9 million. "The suspect sold the certificate of the rapid antigen test varied, starting from Rp.50 thousand to Rp.400 thousand," he said.
Knowing this, the police immediately arrested the suspect in Krajan Village, Jombang District, Jombang District, Jember Regency, on Saturday, January 9, 2021. From the suspect's hands, the police managed to secure evidence of a laptop and cellphone.
The suspect himself will be charged under Article 51 Jo Article 35 of the ITE Law with a penalty of 12 years in prison, with a fine of 12 billion, Jo Article 263 of the Criminal Code with the threat of a sentence of six years in prison.
