Daily Workers Release Cipayung Police Attackers With Sajam And Gasoline, Allegedly Experiencing Mental Disorders

The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) is still investigating Antoni Pasaribu, the perpetrator of the attack on the Cipayung Police Headquarters on Friday, March 10.

Until now, the police have not concluded the motive for the perpetrators of reckless attacks on the Polri institution. Although the motive is not yet known, the police say that the perpetrator is indicated to have experienced a mental disorder.

"We have examined the perpetrator and his family, there are indications of mental disorders," said East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Dimas Prasetyo when confirmed, Sunday, March 12.

Even so, the Satreskrim investigators still took the perpetrator to the Kramatjati Police Hospital to ensure the health condition of the perpetrator's soul. Whether the perpetrator really has a mental disorder or there is another motive.

"To make sure, we take the person concerned to the Police Hospital for a visum et repertum psychiatric, still waiting for the results," he said.

The East Jakarta Metro Police are also still investigating the motive for the attack on the Cipayung Police Headquarters.

"We are still checking whether (the perpetrator) is affiliated with other things that need attention, but it seems more inclined to mental disorders. (motive) Meanwhile, yes," he said.

Previously, Cipayung Police Chief Kompol Gusti stated that the attack at the Cipayung Police Headquarters located on Jalan Raya Hankam, East Jakarta, occurred at around 15:45 WIB. After carrying out the attack, the police managed to arrest a perpetrator.

"The perpetrator named Antoni Pasaribu has been arrested, the work of the perpetrators of the casual daily workers," said Cipayung Police Chief Kompol Gusti when confirmed by VOI, Friday, March 10, evening.
