Bhayangkara Beat Bali 1-3, Madura Silence PSS Sleman 2-1

JAKARTA Bhayangkara FC successfully secured their 13th victory this season after defeating Bali United in the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 competition.

Sani Rizki Fauzi, Dendy Sulistyawan, and Alex Martins each scored one goal to force Bali to give up with a score of 1-3 at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Bekasi, West Java, Saturday, March 11, 2023 evening WIB.

Fauzi opened the scoring when the game had only been running for eight minutes. Bali then equalized in extra minutes of first half time through a goal netted by Private Mbarga.

However, goals from Dendy and Alex in the 62nd and 90th minutes forced Serdadu Tridatu to accept their 11th defeat this season. Despite losing, Bali's position on the standings is still better.

Stefano Cugurra's men are currently collecting 47 points and sitting in sixth place or just one point behind Madura United who fill the final spot in the top four.

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara remained in seventh position in the standings despite adding three points. The team nicknamed The Guardian has so far collected 44 points, three points adrift of Bali.

In the following week, Bali will face Madura United, who have just secured three points after winning 2-1 over PSS Sleman at the Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan Stadium today.

Meanwhile, Bhayangkara will be challenged by the current leaders of PSM Makassar. PSM itself only needs nine more points to come out as the highest Indonesian caste champion.
