JCI Opened Sluggish, Tuesday Morning Dropped To 5,993.37

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) weakened at the opening of trading on Monday, February 10. Starting this week, the JCI fell 6.23 points or 0.1 percent to 5,993.37.

This morning, 4 stocks rose, 20 stocks fell, and 21 stocks were stagnant. Trade transactions reached IDR 31.85 billion from 11.99 million shares traded.

The LQ45 index fell 2.04 points or 0.2 percent to 974.96, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) index rose 0.48 points or 0.1 percent to 645.02, and the IDX30 index fell 0.96 points or 0, 2 percent to 532.85.

Binaarta Sekuritas analyst Nafan Aji Gusta Utama estimates that JCI will strengthen in today's trading. According to him, the JCI will continue to strengthen at the end of last week's trade which rose 0.21 percent to the level of 5,999.

"There is a potential for further strengthening in the JCI movement so that it has the opportunity to go to the nearest resistance," Nafan said.

He recommended several stocks for the day's trade. Among them are PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), PT Surya Citra Media (SCMA), PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), and PT Waskita Beton (WSBP).

This morning, stocks that were among the top gainers included, shares of PT Pratama Widya Tbk (PTPW) rose IDR 200 or 20.51 percent to IDR 1,175, shares of PT Zebra Nusantara Tbk (ZBRA) rose IDR 5 or 7.94 percent to Rp68, and shares of PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) rose by Rp11 or 6.67 percent to Rp176.

Meanwhile, shares in the top losers, namely PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) fell IDR 4 or 3.51 percent to IDR 110, shares of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) fell IDR 40 or 3.35 percent to IDR 1 .155, and shares of PT Medco Energi International Tbk (MEDC) fell IDR 25 or 3.45 percent to IDR 700.
