Head Of IKN Authority Calls Meeting With Former British PM To Discuss Investment To Cultural Arts
JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono received a visit from Former British Prime Minister (PM) Tony Blair at the IKN Authority Office some time ago.
During the meeting, the Head of the IKN Authority discussed the development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) and a number of its development focuses.
Bambang said the meeting was in line with the spirit of IKN to establish international partnerships in building a city that was comfortable to live in and loved.
One of the focuses in IKN development, namely building by paying more attention and maintaining the environment. This is because IKN has a roadmap for refraorestation.
"We also carry out the president's mandate to build by maintaining a strict environment, including cutting trees only as necessary, as well as maintaining harmony with the community and biodiversity that is already there," he said in a written statement, Friday, March 10.
According to Bambang, IKN will also develop investment potential in the short and long term, such as by developing potential in the education and cultural sectors.
He is well aware that the education and culture sector has an important role in economic development.
"The IKN Authority will encourage the development of the education sector at IKN by inviting various international educational institutions," said Bambang.
In addition, Bambang continued, OIKN will also encourage the development of aspects of arts and culture in IKN by learning from cultural centers in the UK.
"Art and culture are important elements that can provide a fun 'ruh' in a city, and therefore we started cooperation from the start to develop this aspect, including with Britain through Sir Tony Blair," he added.
