BENGKULU - The High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has prepared two research prosecutors to prepare the case file for an illegal mining case within the Bukit Daun protected forest area, Central Bengkulu Regency. Director of Criminal Investigation of the Bengkulu Police, Kombes Pol Dodi Ruyatman, said that in addition to arresting two suspects, his party also confiscated thousands of tons of coal and two units of heavy equipment types of excavators around the illegal mining site. "We secure two people who have now been named as suspects, the initials of MA and KS, each of the suspects as illegal mining managers and heavy equipment operators operating in November 2022," he said.
He explained that the two suspects used heavy equipment type excavators to dig and carry out coal and coal mining activities packaged in sacks to be sold to Jakarta using legality in the form of a Production Operations Mining Business License (IUP-OP) specifically for transportation and sale on behalf of CV.
