PKB Reply To Relax Prabowo-Ganjar Issue: The Mandate Is In Cak Imin's Hand

JAKARTA - PKB is relaxed in responding to the issue of the Prabowo Subianto-Ganjar Pranowo duet for the 2024 presidential election. The issue broke out after the two were flanked by President Joko Widodo and visited the rice harvest in Kebumen, yesterday.

Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid said that his party was still thinking positively about the speculation of political matchmaking between the general chairman of Gerindra and the PDIP cadre. According to him, there is nothing to do between the review of the harvest and the presidential election.

"If there is maneuver and speculation speculation, we just have positive thinking. Because the rice harvest has nothing to do with the presidential election process," Jazilul told reporters, Friday, March 10. It is known, until now Gerindra has branded Prabowo Subianto. Meanwhile, PKB mandates its general chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin will run in the upcoming presidential election. The two political parties have agreed to establish political cooperation in 2024.

Jazilul also ensured that the PKB and Gerindra Party commitments were maintained in the Greater Indonesia Awakening (KIR) coalition. Regarding presidential and vice presidential candidates, he said, PKB had signed a decision on Prabowo and Cak Imin.

"The mandate of the presidential and vice presidential candidates is in the hands of Pak Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin," said Jazilul.
