Jambi Police Arrest 4 Perpetrators Of Unlicensed Oil Mining In Muaro Jambi
JAMBI - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Jambi Police arrested four suspected perpetrators of oil mining without permission or illegal drilling in Bukit Subur Village, South Bahar District, Muaro Jambi Regency.The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Mulia Prianto, said that the arrest was made when the team received information from the public that there were allegations of illegal oil mining activities in Bukit Subur Village last Tuesday.The four perpetrators of SE (31) residents of Mestong, RO (37) residents of South Bahar, DS (51) South Bahar and ES (26) residents of North Penukal."After receiving this information, the team immediately moved to the location and found four suspected illegal drilling perpetrators," he said in Jambi, Antara, Thursday, March 9.Furthermore, the perpetrators and the tools used as well as the results of the oil mining activity without a permit were brought to the Jambi Regional Police for further investigation.Head of Sub-Directorate IV of the Jambi Regional Police Ditreskrimsus, Kompol Indar Wahyu Dwi Septiawan, said the four people who were arrested played a role as Mobilists.The perpetrators, said Indar, carried out a shelter for the illegal oil. When someone comes, they sell the illegal oil.From the sale of the oil, they get the profits they share with the land owner.He said oil mining without a permit or illegal drilling had been operating since January 2023.
