To The KPK, Minister Of Social Affairs Risma Discusses Social Assistance
JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini (Risma) visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This PDIP politician did not come to be examined but to coordinate with regard to social assistance.
"Today the KPK welcomes the presence of Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini to coordinate with the KPK recommendation letter dated December 3, 2020 regarding the delivery of social assistance management results," said Acting KPK spokesman for Prevention Ipi Maryati in a written statement, Monday, January 11.
He then explained, at the meeting Social Minister Risma would be met by three KPK leaders, namely Alexander Marwata, Nurul Ghufron, Nawawi Pomolango and Deputy for Prevention of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nainggolan and ranks in the deputy of prevention.
During the meeting, the KPK will present the results of their studies and recommendations. This is done as part of carrying out monitoring duties.
"In addition, there are several suggestions that the KPK also conveyed regarding the steps and efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs in distributing social assistance," he said.
Previously, the KPK warned about the accuracy of data on aid recipients in the implementation of social assistance programs (bansos), whose distribution is currently being changed in cash.
In addition, the KPK will also continue to monitor the implementation of social assistance to avoid corrupt practices such as the one previously ensnared former Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Juliari Peter Batubara.
Risma previously stated that she would improve the social assistance scheme (Bansos) in 2021. This repair was in accordance with the instructions of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) where assistance was received by the community as a whole.
Risme said that the distribution of cash assistance was received directly through PT Pos Indonesia and the State Bank Association (Himbara) to at least 10 million recipients through access to population data.
"The disbursement has started since January 4 yesterday. PT Pos door to door, which I asked for the elderly, sick, and with disabilities is door to door as well. The bank may be in trouble but yesterday we communicated with the Ministry of BUMN, it will be submitted to PT Pos from the bank, "explained Risma as quoted by Antara, at the Pangudi Luhur Bekasi Social Rehabilitation Center, Friday, January 8.
The distribution scheme improvement aims to guard beneficiaries including evaluating reports from banks and post offices in the form of fingerprints, signatures and photos of beneficiaries. "In the past there were no pictures," explained Risma.
Another objective is to escort aid recipients so that the community can truly move out of poverty.
