Anthony Joshua Becomes 'Rocky Total' Ahead Of The Fight Against Jermaine Franklin
JAKARTA - The Rocky IV film seems to have inspired heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua (AJ) while preparing to get into the ring against United States fighter Jermaine Franklin.
AJ will appear against Franklin at home at the O2 Arena, London, England, on April 1. Joshua has started a very intensive training camp in Dallas, Texas, United States.
In addition to taking advantage of the luxurious gym at the training camp, Joshua also shared posts on Instagram showing himself cutting trees using axes.
"Back to the base," he completed the post with such information.
This post immediately reminded more than 14 million followers on Instagram regarding the iconic boxing film Rocky IV. They immediately compared Joshua with the actor Rocky Totaling in the film.
In the film, there are cut scenes showing Rocky cutting trees in Russia as he prepares to face his rival in the Cold War, Ivan Drago.

"Bro, really underdog Rocky/Adonis at this time," wrote a follower of Anthony Joshua.
"Like Rocky Totaling," wrote another.
Of the many comments, there are also fans who advise Joshua to change professions to become a film player.
"You will be very good in the Creed movie," another commented.
Joshua fought Franklin after losing his heavyweight title from Oleksandr Usyk and failing to win him back in a rematch last August.
Therefore, Joshua's boxing career will be at stake against Franklin later. However, so far AJ looks very excited to return to the ring after three defeats in his professional career.
"I can't wait to get back into the ring on April 1 at The O2, London," he said some time ago, quoted by The Sun.
"Mentally and physically, I feel ready. I want to give a good performance and make my coach impressed because he has high standards," he added.
Franklin also lost his last match against Dillian Whyte at the end of 2022. However, Joshua could not lightly underestimate his opponent.
"Franklin has a good style of competing and good attitude, which he has shown in recent matches," said Joshua.
