The light ash rain, among others, occurred in Kalitengah Lor, Kalitengah Kidul and Srunen hamlets in Glagaharjo Village, Cangkringan District, which is included in the KRB III area of Mount Merapi.
"Besides that, ash rains also occurred in Singlar Hamlet, Glagaharjo, Cangkringan," he said.
Until now BPPTKG Yogyakarta has not yet raised the status of Mount Merapi's activity and is still at level III or alert with a safe distance of three kilometers from the summit of Mount Merapi.
"The safe radius is still at three kilometers. There is no recommendation for an expansion of the radius from the BPPTKG," he said.
Makwan said that there had not been any changes for residents in the area who had to be evacuated, namely the vulnerable groups in Kalitengah Lor Hamlet, Glagaharjo.
"Residents of this vulnerable group in Kalitengah Lor have been evacuated since November 7, 2020 in the Glagaharjo refugee barracks after BPPTKG raised the status of Merapi activities to level III on November 5, 2020," he said.
The number of residents in the Glagaharjo refugee barracks is currently 311 people, consisting of 30 elderly men and 48 elderly women, 29 adult men and 96 adult women, three pregnant women, 14 breastfeeding mothers.
"Then the elderly with disabilities are six men and four women, 26 boys and 31 girls, one boy and three toddlers, five boys and five girls, and five men and one woman with adult disabilities. , "he said.
