Plumpang Fuel Depot Relocated, Pelindo: In The Sea Bank And Easy Access
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo) is ready to follow up on the direction of the Ministry of SOEs regarding the plan to relocate the Plumpang Fuel Terminal (TBBM) belonging to PT Pertamina (Persero) to the Port area.
Regarding the discourse on moving TBBM to the port area, Pelindo is currently carrying out further construction in the area at the NewPriok terminal, where there is an area designated as a Product Terminal. This area can be considered as a new location for TBBM. The land as referred to will be ready in 2024.
"The Production Terminal location that we have prepared will be located right on the watersfront, so that it will make it easier to unload oil and gas from the ship to the terminal and vice versa," Ali explained in his statement, Wednesday, February 8.
In addition, the Cibitung-Cilincing (JTCC) and NewPriok Eastern Access (NPEA) Toll Roads will increase the ease of direct access from NewPriok to industrial areas in Cibitung and Cikarang.
"In principle, Pelindo is ready to follow the direction of the Government and is open to the option of moving to the port. Next, we will wait for further talks between Pertamina and Pelindo," concluded Ali.
In addition, after the Plumpang TBBM fire, Pelindo has deployed an emergency response team to meet the initial needs of residents affected by the incident.
In addition to helping with evacuation efforts on the first day, the Pelindo Peduli emergency response team also distributed emergency assistance in the form of food, medicines, blankets, tarpaulins and various needs of affected residents who are currently in refugee posts.
"We express our deepest condolences and pray for the people who were victims of the fire that hit the Plumpang TBBM area," explained the Pelindo Company Secretariat Group Head, Ali Mulyono.
