The results of the voting meeting held on Saturday, January 9 were announced via the organization's Twitter account.

A weighted voting system requires voters to choose their first, second and third choice for each category, with each position getting a different score for the film.
Category winners are those who receive the most cumulative points.
Delroy Lindo was named best actor for his role in Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods. Lindo's portrayal of a military veteran received critical acclaim throughout the years.
Maria Bakalova, who rose to prominence after her performance in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, won the best supporting actress award after this year's vote, while Sound of Metal star Paul Raci was dubbed best supporting actor.
As for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom failing to top any acting category, the film is close to winning in the categories of best actress, best actor, and best supporting actor.
Boseman, who was runner-up for best actor for his performance in the Viola Davis film, also nearly won best supporting actor for Da 5 Bloods. He is third in that category.
