The Ministry Of SOEs Will Have A Free Eid Homecoming, Interested In Participating?
JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will provide free homecoming services for people who want to return to their hometowns to celebrate Eid with their families. The modes of transportation provided also vary, from buses to ships.
The Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that his party is currently preparing the free homecoming service. Therefore, the quota or number of people who can participate in this service has not been determined.
"The Ministry of SOEs will also hold a free homecoming. We are still preparing that. Regarding how many people (quotes) for free homecoming, we will issue it later," he told reporters, written Tuesday, March 7.
Furthermore, Arya revealed, several modes of transportation that will serve free homecoming this year include buses, trains, and ships.
"For this free homecoming, we have prepared, some are using buses, some are trains, and ships are also available. Like Pelni and PT ASDP (Kafat Ferry) hopefully the management will be neater," he said.
Arya also estimates that in 2023, the volume of homecoming flows will increase drastically. Given that the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) has been lifted. Therefore, according to Arya, there needs to be preparations for adequate transportation.
"So (this year) there is a crazy increase in volume, it really needs to guarantee even better. KAI, for example, has sold tickets for Lebaran online," he said.
Arya also hopes that Garuda Indonesia will be able to increase flight routes to ensure service during Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming will run smoothly.
Not only that, Arya continued, to support the smooth homecoming of Leberan 2023, several toll roads that are ready, but are not yet operating and are owned by SOEs will also be opened.
For example, we also prepare toll roads that can be used, for example in North Sumatra, Kuala Tanjung, and so on. For Java, there is Jogja-Solo, it will also be opened, because that is also a request from the Ministry of PUPR. We will open it, which is under SOEs," he explained.
