Landslide Disaster Emergency Response On Natuna Serasan Island, Riau Islands Police Deploy 122 Additional Personnel
The Riau Islands Police (Kepri) sent 112 additional personnel to assist in the evacuation and handling of landslides in East Serasan, Natuna Regency.

He explained that the hundreds of Riau Islands Regional Police personnel consisted of 59 Brimob Units, 31 Ditsamapta personnel, 8 Bidokkes personnel, 3 Inafis personnel, Bidpropam and Bidhumas each two personnel.
"Meanwhile, seven other people have already been dispatched to the location by plane," he said.
He said the hundreds of personnel would be dispatched in two groups from Roro Telaga Punggur Port to Tanjung Uban Natuna Port.
The first batch departs this afternoon and tonight uses a ship from PT Transport Sungai, Danau and Ferry Indonesia Crossing (Persero).
"They are expected to reach Serasan on Thursday (9 March) at around 17.00 WIB," he said.
For logistics brought by personnel in the form of logistics for social assistance for victims of landslides, personnel, evacuation equipment such as body bags, hoes, shovels, field beds, and other SAR equipment.
"We also brought 14 units of R2 Brimob motorized vehicles and medicines," he said.
Harry added that the information received stated that landslides on Serasan Island had claimed as many as six people died.
There were three survivors and were treated, while dozens of people are reportedly still being searched.
"It is possible that there will be more casualties, because at the time of the incident residents at the location were working together," said Harry.
