Wacana Pembelian Depo Plumpang Sudah Dari Dua Tahun Lalu
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that the discourse on moving the Plumpang fuel depot in North Jakarta had been discussed since two years ago.
"In accordance with what was discussed with the President, we moved the Plumpang fuel terminal to Pelindo land where we had closed it two years ago," said Erick, who was met at the Kemenkomarves Building, Monday, March 6.
Previously, Erick had a meeting with the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) and the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, to look for post-fire alternatives that served TBBM Plumpang on Friday, March 6.
"The agreement is to close internally to unite together. And earlier a meeting with Pertamina will move it to Pelindo land," said Erick.
Previously, on a separate occasion, Erick revealed that his party had coordinated with PT Pelindo and would begin construction at the end of 2024.
The construction of this TBBM will take 2 to 2.5 years.
"This means that there is still approximately 3.5 years. Therefore, we ensure and we want the support of local governments and the community because this is part of the protection of the community that is encouraged by the President," explained Erick.
In addition, the Government will also build buffer zones or safe areas around Pertamina's refineries and fuel terminals, not only in Plumpang TBBM but also Balongan and Semarang.
"But especially those in Plumpang are approximately 50 m from the fence. And of course this is a joint solution that we hope for local government support and also of course the community because security is a priority for all of us," concluded Erick.
As is known that due to the incident that occurred at TBBM Plumpang on March 4, 2023, it had caused many casualties and injuries. Even residents in two neighborhoods (RW) had to lose their burning houses.
