Commissioner Of PT Sriwijaya Mandiri, South Sumatra, Was Targeted By The KPK Regarding Allegations Of Fictitious Financial Transactions
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned five witnesses including Commissioner of PT Sriwijaya Mandiri South Sumatra (SMS) Regina Ariyanti regarding the alleged corruption in the transportation of coal by the South Sumatra Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD). The examination was carried out at the Palembang Polrestabes on Friday, March 3."His knowledge was explored, among others, related to the implementation of financial operations at PT SMS, including allegations of orders from parties related to this case to carry out fictitious financial transactions," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, March 6.Apart from Regina, the four witnesses who were also questioned by the KPK were the Director of PT Bima Cipta Karya, Muhammad Tajudin Thamrin; Director of PT Multi Technik Mandiri Perkasa, Yadi Ruswanto; Business development experts or special logistics staff of PT SMS, Cecep Kurniawan; and employees of PT SMS Berly Caroline.Actually, the KPK will also examine two other witnesses. It's just that, said Ali, they were not present and will be rescheduled.The two witnesses were the Director of PT Alumagada Jaya Mandiri, Toni and PT SMS Technical and Operational Manager, Giery Helvan. "Both were absent and confirmed for rescheduling," he said.Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the abuse of authority in cooperation in coal transportation by BUMD in South Sumatra. However, the suspect in the case has not yet been announced.Disclosure of the suspect will be carried out when the investigation process is sufficient. The suspect will also be announced after an attempt to be detained.In an effort to uncover this case, investigators have searched the PT SMS office. From this activity, documents related to alleged corruption in the transportation of coal were found.
