Considering The Weather, The Search For Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Was Stopped At 17.00 WIB
JAKARTA - The search for the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 aircraft that disappeared around the waters of Laki and Lancang Island, Seribu Islands, Jakarta, will be stopped on Sunday, January 10 at around 17.00 WIB.
"We see that it is getting cloudy and the wind is blowing fast enough, we will see it at least at 15.00 WIB," said Dirpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri, Brigadier General Yassin Kosasih on the Bisma 8003 Police Ship, Sunday, January 10.
However, if the weather returns to normal, said Yassin, the search could continue until 17.00 WIB. The Marine and Air Police Corps (Korpolairud) Baharkam Polri deployed a total of 64 diver personnel to comb into the sea.
Meanwhile, sweeping at sea level uses six supporting vessels, including KP. Bisma, which is a patrol boat belonging to Ditpolair Korpolairud, which helps search for victims and debris of Sriwijaya Air aircraft.
Police Ship (KP) Kolibri - 4015, KP. Kasturi - 6002, KP. Sea Eagle - 2003, KP. Woodpecker - 3013, KP. Sundaicus - 2001 and KPC - 2004 as well as three Patrol Boats from Ditpolairud Polda Metro Jaya. Polairud is also assisted by a robotic device capable of diving to a depth of 300 meters.
"We have tried it earlier and we took it to the location where the dives were carried out. At 10.00 WIB, we had about 20 divers who we sent around Male Island for about 2 hours we dived at a depth of about 20 meters," he said.
For monitoring via air, two units of the helicopter fleet were deployed to monitor sea level conditions.
The Sriwijaya Air aircraft registered number PK-CLC SJ 182 for the Jakarta-Pontianak route lost contact on Saturday, January 9 at around 14:40 WIB and is thought to have crashed in the waters of the Thousand Islands between Lancang Island and Laki Island.
Based on manifest data, the aircraft produced in 1994 carried 62 people consisting of 50 passengers and 12 crew members. Of these, 40 adults, seven children, three babies. Meanwhile, the 12 crew consists of six active crews and six extra crews.
