TBD, Block Division, Launches New Venture To Improve Lightning Bitcoin Network
JAKARTA - TBD, a division of Block (formerly known as Square) led by CEO Jack Dorsey, launched a new venture called class= (readed "c equals") to improve the Bitcoin Lightning network through tools and services.
The Lightning Network (LN) is a layer 2 payment network built to facilitate mainstream adoption of Bitcoin by allowing faster, cheaper, and more reliable peer-to-peer payments.
However, class= aims to expand LN's reach through liquidity services and additional routes. Since its launch, LN's liquidity and capacity have experienced organic growth through real-world adoption.
In addition, services such as class= offer a gradual increase in supporting the adoption of Bitcoin which continues worldwide. Through liquidity, services, and infrastructure, class= serves wallet users, businesses, and node lighting operators for faster and cheaper payments.
"We want to meet your lighting needs anywhere. Are you a business that wants to accept Lightning payments? A wallet that requires a channel or an inbound for your customers? A hard Veteran ofplebnets looking for the next big source?" said TBD in a release quoted by Cointelegraph.
Layer 2 services collectively increase Bitcoin operations making it easier for people to adopt this ecosystem into their lives.
Jack Dorsey's popular payment venture, Cash App, recently integrated tax software and accounting for TaxBit crypto into its service. This move makes it easier for Bitcoin users to report their taxes.
As reported by Cointelegraph, Cash App launched its Bitcoin trading service in 2018 and rolled out a BTC deposit the following year. The company claims to have more than 10 million Bitcoin users.
