Tesla Recalls Model Y, For Consumer Security

JAKARTA - Another car manufacturer that is rumored to be withdrawing its vehicle is Tesla. Electric car manufacturer from the United States will recall the Tesla Model Y 2022 until 2023 in the United States.

Quoted from Reuters, Saturday, March 4, this was done because the bolts that secured the backing frame of row seats had not been properly installed.

According to the United States Highway Safety Agency (NHTSA), the seat frame bolts on the Tesla Model Y are loose and this could result in reduced seat belt performance and of course increase the risk of injury in an accident.

Tesla itself has told NHTSA that it has identified five guarantee claims since December caused by these conditions.

Tesla also does not yet know whether there were injuries or casualties that may be related to the withdrawal.

Tesla itself will check the bolts that secure the rear seat frame of the driver and passenger on the second row to the bottom seat of Model Y and if necessary, tighten it according to specifications.

Since December, Tesla suppliers have implemented joint process controls with improved training and supervision to ensure bolts are installed according to specifications, the automaker said. This is done to increase consumer comfort and security.

Please note, Tesla Model Y gets a five-star rating from NHTSA for overall security. Not surprisingly, Tesla is very concerned about this.
